    LOL.you did a pop up because your suit was being used as a buoyancy device. next time, right before you crap your paints doing an out of control assent. open up your arm seal and let all the air out of your suit. (pointing the arm up) or neck. good luck.

    You need to revisit your training material. Or get a better instructor. 40 lbs is a ton of weight even in a drysuit with heavy undergarments. Everyone is different but with your buoyancy issues you had it needs to be addressed, for your own safety.

    Your advises are wrong. You should never use a dry suit as a buoyancy device. Check manuals. BCD is and will always remain the primary source of buoyancy control.
