If anyone is have trouble finding "boat bumpers" when searching online, the proper term is "fender," not "bumper."

Good video.  It's a great idea for a dive buoy and the written list at the end is helpful.

This is pretty stinking cool, I'll have to build one before I get up to Bear Lake this summer… is there any limit on the carp?  were you on the Idaho side in the other video when you were carp fishing?

would you know the width and length of the buoys? because i'm looking at some buoys on amazon and it gives me three sizes to choose from. 4×16 inch, 6×22 inch, and 5×20 inch

None. I always pull the line completely out of the leash when I get home to let it dry.

Call me crazy but I'm pretty frickin sure I've seen boat bumpers at WalMart of all places (I don't know why) just in case any future viewers see this they might want to check their too.

Uh… ya-know… ballpark figure it all was probably about $100 bucks-ish. I got a good deal on the boat bumpers, because I purchased them from Costco. PVC pipe is really cheap. The most expensive item on the buoy is the dog leash. I spent about thirty dollars for it. You could probably even use large diameter PVC Piping for the floats and seal of the ends with glue. It'd be a little heavier, but would float. : )
