The main goal and skill of this video was defeated by itself. No point having good buoyancy and do things withouth looking with good muscle memory if my head gets chopped off or i get lost because the buoy is not seen from the surface.

This reminds me of the adage "using 40 words where 4 will suffice."

I have a much more streamlined process: It's already hooked up. I just inflate and let it go. No fooling with bolt clips.

The smb surfaced almost empty, how ever it looked pretty great.

This man's buoyancy hand is strong.

    The buoyancy is perfect

  7. MW says

Why not have the line connected to the smb all the time?

Belle démo. Bon l'idéal étant que le ballon de palier soit déjà fixé et opérationnel !
Sans quoi pas mal la vidéo et le fond sonore.

He did no overhead environment check before deploying.

I'm always fascinated when watching the skills of this diver.

now do that in england with 7mm gloves on

  13. Vit Shaden says

    I like it

What is the point of the final step (putting the double bolt snap back on the spool) ? I mean, you'll have to remove it if you want to wind the line back on the spool.

well you make it look easy!

LOL. Any agency can employ a reasonable diver and claim it's their training work. And don't forget the impartial equipment advice you'll receive when Mares and SSI are one and the same (note the make of the buoy — sneaky ad!). Anyway, if this is 'extended range', why isn't he using twins 🙂  ? These fish tank demos are tiresome. I wonder how many takes they did to make it pretty. Nothing against the diver of course, if he can live down being associated with Mares :).
