Haha! I have taken over the channel, Mark has conveniently gone missing…. Ok he hasn’t he’s just on holiday, we did have a rather cool video pre-filmed but it needs a little bit more work done to it, to truly make special, so sad you guys and girls are stuck with me this week, even though Mark promised you that this would never happen it did…

So let’s get straight into it, Hi I’m Shaun the most famous non-scuba diver in the world who hosts a scuba diving channel and I’m here to talk about scuba diving urban legends.

the thing about the bucket is my mother and father in law and some others there tell me a story of how they witnessed two jet skiers get picked up by a helicopter bucket right out of the lake

  2. Avery Einhorn says

Mark, enjoy your vacation. Saun has things well in hand and is doing very well on video, but we still miss you. (Saun, did I phrase that the way you wanted?)

Raja Ampat or ‘Four Kings’, is the name given to these islands and comes from a local myth. Located in the heart of The Coral Triangle, Raja Ampat is known to have the richest coral reef ecosystem in the world. The main areas offering itineraries for liveaboard scuba diving are: Raja Ampat, Banda Sea and Triton Bay. If you haven’t experienced the diving in this area, it is fantastic due to the diversity and abundance of marine life. The area of the Four Kings is comprised of over 1500 islands and home to 600 types of corals, 1,500 fish species and over 600 types of mollusks.

Hi. The ‘scenery’ during your dialog included people going into a cavern/cave with single tank on. That is worrisome as no redundancy. Also no reels. Hope it was just farther in a cavern.

  5. Piolo 2013 says

    Where is Robyn??

  6. Jonathan Emmett says

    Woohoo Havelock!

  7. joshua smith says

Like, if you think Robyn would have been better to cover Mark's week off.

  8. Raphael Ottoni says

    Mark is a flat earther!

  9. Team Peg Leg says

    Narwhals, they are Narwhals.

  10. Shaun Johnson says

Wow this Shaun guy is much better than Mark… He should present all the time….

So, the "Diver finds a nuke" is at least plausible. There are quite a few missing nukes in the ocean, though not all had all the parts installed to detonate. Here is a short list of the ones off the top of my head:

Parts of 2 Mark 4s off Queen Charloette Island in Canada (The bombs, minus their cores, were dropped and the chemical explosives detonated in mid-air, but parts). The crew bailed out of their B-36 when it lost several engines to icing, but the airplane flew on for several hours and crashed in the interior of BC.

A (un armed) Mk 36 "Alias Betty" Nuclear depth bomb lost 100 miles off Astoria OR when the martin PBM carrying it crashed in 1957. Crew rescued by the Coast Guard.

A B-57 in a swamp in South Carolina (or possibly Alabama, I get confused) after the B-52 carrying it broke up in mid-air.

4 weapons from 2 B-47s that disappeared somewhere over the Mediterranean

There are also at least four nuclear armed and propelled submarines that have sunk, but these are in very deep water.

There may be pieces of one of the four nuclear weapons that were lost in the B-52 crash off Thule in Greenland in the water. The navy did some pretty extensive searching, but who knows if they found all the parts.

So, yeah, Urban legend, so far anyway…
