You had to read a board..? Very insincere. Honestly there is no money in it. You are never going to get out what you put in. Takes the fun out of it and there are some really bad instructors out there.
I get 60$ per student for OW course. So if I get an 8 pack thats 480$ for the course. But more common is 6 students.
Well you got to take the good with the bad. If you work in exotic locations you get paid shit. Me personally in P.I., $250 USD a month (living off tips from kind hearted tourists). Finished my career making around $100,000 a year as a Master Instructor. Professionals get paid. If you pay peanuts you get Monkeys. That is so true lol……
Normal is 30% or less per course. So if a course cost 300 USD per person (lets say OW PADI – 3 days)..and 3 person join. Thats 900 USD total. So 30% of 900 is 270. So the instructor earn 270 USD for that dive course.
