The Scubapro SeaWing Nova Full Foot Fins have the same hinged wing design as the open heel version. The hinge allows for the perfect angle of attack during each phase of the kick cycle, so while it may not feel like you’re doing much you are sifting through the water.

The Hinged Blade has a new and improved design that has won multiple awards for its innovation and efficiency. The winged blade pivots on the foot pockets to store energy and push you through the water. The strengthened design has been improved from years of field and laboratory testing to produce the most efficient pivot compared to previous models.

By allowing the angle between the foot pocket and the blade of the fin to change as you move your legs the blade can be almost flat and easier to walk around in and bent when you need it to for the perfect angle of attack that transfers the energy in the right direction. While the fin will feel floppy on your foot you will move faster through the water with less energy than other fins.
