MY FIRST AMATEUR DIVE INJURY – MASK SQUEEZE | PADI SCUBA DIVE PONDICHERRY INDIA

VLOG #010 | This was my first dive here in India (Pondicherry).

Everything started well, we descended down toward a palm tree, where many sea creatures lived. One of the fishes was curious and followed me almost the entire time. We decided to go to another location, but after a while the visibility got soo bad that you couldn’t see a single thing. Luckily, we found our way back to the reef.

During the whole dive, I felt a pressure around my eyes, but didn’t think much of it. Well, on the way back to the boat, my eyes started to be bloodshot red. I could still see and it didn’t hurt that much. Anyways, this is called a mask squeeze (face squeeze) and it happens when you don’t equalize your mask properly. Its not dangerous but it looks really bad! And yeah, my eyes are okay 🙂
